As the first leaves begin to turn in the Crooked wood, Mabon Conkleberry begins gathering Autumn’s small treasures; A particularly good conker, a curled golden leaf and at least two dozen acorns, of course!
Our September event face takes their name from Mabon. A modern pagan celebration of the autumn equinox. As day and night roughly become equal in length, it takes a moment to celebrate the harvest, give thanks and reflect on balance as the darker months creep ever closer. The name comes from Mabon ap Modron, a figure in welsh mythology (though its use for the equinox is modern.)
Here in the house of Mothiwumpus, Mabon carries that seasonal spirit and acts as a reminder for us to appreciate what sustains us and begin to make room for rest.
They also may bring luck when foraging for natural curiosities in the woodlands at this time of year, especially if you’re hunting for a good conker!
Mabon is bloom size.
If your orders across the month of September total over $100 you will be eligible to this face for free though bodies are available for an additional fee.
If you orders do not yet total $100, please wait until they do.
Should you grab the face only, the skintone will match the Pomflickers/Yonderwings. The version with the body will be shown next week (14/09 onwards) in a colour not yet revealed.
