I originally made Loseley’s little head as a tribute to the year of the ox. They weren’t ever initially meant to be for sale but so many people requested that we released them as a bloom, so we did. So here is a little good luck charm for the coming year.
Oxen are the hard workers in the background, intelligent and reliable but never demanding praise.
Many years ago, my family owned a Christmas decoration business. We would design seasonal decorations (but primarily Christmas) for garden centres, department stores and gift shops across the UK and into Europe. One of the first ever premises we ever had was on the Loseley Estate near Guildford, England. It was on this farm that they used to milk dairy cows for their famous ice cream, so our work days were surrounded by cows. I called him Loseley as a reminder of that time. We were just at the beginning of that journey and it led to some amazing experiences that gave me a lot of understanding in business things I wouldn’t know much about otherwise. Loseley feels comforting and grounded, like roots and funnily enough out of all the blooms so far (as of June 2021, is often the one I reach for.
The video below will be updated to Loseley’s specific video once it has finished being created. Please wait patiently!
