Poppy Chesterfield, is an interesting bloom. They’re smiley and cheeky and so full of love and life! This little one is actually a tribute to one of my families most beloved pets. A cheeky little sheep, named Chester. Chester is sadly no longer with us but his memory and personality is not soon to be forgotten.
We first met Chester when he was sentenced to death row. A little lamb with a horribly injured foot. Sadly the reality is that many farmers don’t want to invest in vet care for one sheep. It ends up too costly when they have herds of so many. However, we adopted the little man. In the back of a mini cooper convertible on a balmy summer evening, the roof was down, the wind in my hair and a sheep was bleeting at the top of his lungs from the comfort of my lap. He was so full of joy, its like he knew his little life had been spared. Chester was with us for many years and growing up around 2 other sheep and our dogs for company, we think that he felt more like one of the dogs. We’d often find him in the kitchen demanding a snack, or up at one of the windows, bleeting for attention. He was a beautiful quirky and high spirited little one and we loved him very much.
In later years my step brother had a son, whose name was Chester and my other one had a daughter named Poppy. I used both to create this one’s little name. I hope you like them as much as I do.
The video below will be updated to Chester’s specific video once it has finished being created. Please wait patiently!
