The red panda is an animal we’ve been requested to make so many times. We’ve finally released one. This one is named after something very personal and relevant to some very upsetting news I received in August.
When my red headed Aunt and dad were little, on every long car journey or holiday, my grandmother would tell them the adventures of her own little character, Joeby. This tradition continued into my (and cousins) childhoods too so all these years later, Joeby has seen and done so many things. This little red panda is a tribute to my grandmother who I have the fondest memories of, growing up. Sadly, divorce puts barriers between people and while I am not as close to this part of my family as I wish I was, I still love her very much. Sadly she had a recent diagnosis which was a really painful blow, this month and we’re all cheering her on. She’s a very brave lady.
We’d like to give an honorable mention to the following bee munchers for their beautiful red panda (and similar creatures) submissions into our contest!
Imriset’s Nenni, Viv’s Winking Red Panda, the pinecone red panda, Rosa’s Racoon, and of course, Ceviche’s gorgeous Tanuki submission.
The video below will be updated to Mochi’s specific video once it has finished being created. Please wait patiently!
