Pumpkin, the sweet and charmingly bashful, another sweet friend to add to our bloom lineup for 2021!

A tiny 3D printed Ball jointed Doll kit from September 2021. These kits are put together by just 2 people and waiting times can sometimes get extensive. We are currently experiencing a large volume of orders so please be patient. If patience isn’t your thing (we understand!) our kits may not be for you.

Pumpkin comes with a little leaf magnetic tail and two beautifully sculpted ears. We’ve positioned them as dropping in the upper ports but you can change the position and have them more upright if preferred. They can go on the lower placement but that will limit the movement of the head and not really advised. The fallen leaves colour is very close to Joeby’s Terracotta skin from last month but may have a touch more red tint to it at time of production.

As these are a kit for you to finish at home, there will be flaws and marks that can be easily sanded away. This is a normal part of the production process and nothing to worry about. You must spray your doll ENTIRELY with uv cut sealant to protect them from the sun. Since they are made of a photopolymer resin, this step is vital to keep your bloom safe and strong for years to come. INVEST IN A DECENT MASK and always wear when working with resin or sealant.

This is a fun little project that can take anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on your skill level. They will be sent unstrung so that you can work on the parts easily and all magnets and elastic will be provided as a part of the kit.

Eyes are available separately as well as wig kits for you to make wigs for your bloom. Tutorial to come soon.

Supply List;

  • Scissors

  • 1.5mm crochet hook is incredibly useful but not necessary.

  • Lower grit sandpaper (600+ if sanding by hand) or a dremel with abrasive ‘fuzzy’ attachment.

  • High Grit sandpaper (1500+) for finishing

  • UV Cut spray.

This bloom will be sent with all elastic and magnets required to put them together. We use a tension bar system in the neck so no S-hook is included.

 

Do not forget to spray the entire doll with UV cut spray after sealing! This will protect her resin!

P U M P K I N S P I C E - S P I R I T O F A U T U M N

 

Autumn is my favourite time of year. Infact, if i’m honest, Autumn feels like a soulmate. Its something that ignites my creativity and yet has me grounded and feeling reconnected with the earth. I wanted to have a little sprite who might echo my feelings of Autumn.

The name pumpkin was chosen after a little bunny I had a few years ago. Unfortunately I was sold two ‘girl' bunnies that weren’t both girls and baby bunnies were a Christmas surprise I was not expecting. One of the tiniest boys was called Pumpkin. A beautiful solid orange lop that I fell in love with instantly. Sadly Pumpkin had a misaligned jaw and the sweet little one had to have his teeth cut constantly in order for him to be able to eat. The vet said that a lot of people would have rather put him to sleep than go through the hassle of keeping his teeth short for him but I was determined. My little pumpkin lived a pretty long life considering his unfortunate jaw problem. He was sweet and a little shy but also a cheeky streak shone through as he gained his confidence. Since these leaf ears look a lot like a lopped bun, and the colour, I thought it would be a nice tribute to an old friend.
